In “Fatherless Man” she unleashes her strongest rage and brokenness to a man who walked out of her life when she was an infant.

We can recognize a part of our youth in her despair of lost love and celebrate with her as she delights in her achievements. Several short stories separate from her poetry are also included in her book. The characters are all flawed and fictional, and perhaps one day Ms. Freels will expand on their stories.
